DISC Introduces 20 & 40 Slot Automated Storage Libraries

Milpitas, CA - DISC Inc. (NASDAQ: DCSR), a leading manufacturer of automated library solutions for enterprise storage, introduced 2 new models to it's ever-expanding product line of optical storage libraries. The D20 model offers customers 20 media slots and 104 GBs of storage, while the D40 has 40 media slots and 208 GBs of storage respectively. Both models can be configured with either single or dual 5.2 GB optical disk drives.

These new models feature a durable robotic mechanism with a Mean Swaps Between Failure (MSBF) rating of greater than 1 million cycles, a menu-driven user interface panel and disk exchange times as fast as 2.5 seconds. The D20 and D40 libraries offer customers cost-effective storage capabilities with nearline access to their data. These factors are a must in mission-critical, enterprise applications where DISC's high capacity products are employed today.
